Difficult Conversations: Racism (and other isms)

August 24, 5:30-7:30 pm • Zoom

Update: This event is now full!

Keep an eye out for more coming soon.

Join us for an online workshop to deepen your skills in interrupting, engaging with, and communicating about racism and other forms of oppression.

What are the barriers to approaching people? What are the tools we need? How do we de-escalate situations? What is it like when we’re the victim, when we’re bystanders? When should we not engage?

Featuring Bor Yang, Director of the Vermont Human Rights Comission; Janae Due, Assistant Director of the Middlebury College Anderson Freeman Resource Center, offering support and programming for queer and/or transgender students; and Renee Wells, Director of Education for Equity and Inclusion at Middlebury College.
